July 1st will – as the title implies – start the next chapter of my writing/publishing career. Author of Black Hearts White Bones blogs about book signings.

And now I find myself in a new home nestled along the side of a creek that flows into the Neuse River. As a writer of historical fiction, it's like stepping onto Ground Zero of North Carolina's colonial origins. I am surrounded by history.

If it is true that only those women who behave badly make history, can two women loving badly rewrite it?

So much going on as I prepare to launch the e-version of Black Hearts|White Bones.

Although A Brief History of the Vikings: The Last Pagans or the First Modern Europeans is nonfiction, it could easily be a wellspring of inspiration for countless novels yet to be written.
